Located within La Chinita International Airport, Experiencia 261 was conceived as a space that breaks away from the rigidity typically associated with transit areas. From the very first moment, this lounge invites travelers to pause, connect, and work in an environment designed to deliver comfort and a memorable pre-flight experience.
On the exterior, the project preserves existing site elements, integrating landscaping that highlights the mature trees surrounding the area.
To enhance visibility from the main road, the design incorporates a wraparound canopy and a totem featuring the lounge’s logo, ensuring identity and presence from a distance.
Entry is marked by a welcoming area with a lower double-height ceiling, where a host greets users. This initial zone, finished with warm materials and a neutral palette, leads into a waiting lounge furnished with armchairs, poufs, side tables, and a dedicated children’s entertainment area.
Ascending to the next level, the circulation flows toward an oval-shaped central bar that organizes the space while allowing travelers to work, recharge devices, or enjoy a curated selection of self-service snacks.
This element not only optimizes movement but also reinforces the contemporary character of the project, integrating technology, connectivity, and design into a single architectural gesture.
In a subsequent module, the operational offices are located: a management room, a meeting room, and a private bathroom. This functional core meets the needs of the internal team without interfering with the user experience.
This project represents a new phase in the collaboration with Agencia 261, consolidating a shared vision where design and logistics align to create purposeful experiences.
