The first Carmina Vivenzio store in Caracas was built around a clear goal: to translate a precise, experience-driven vision into a space that is functional, durable, and tightly controlled.
Rather than starting from a blank slate, the project followed a set of well-defined decisions laid out by the brand’s founder
The double-height space, featuring a pre-existing mezzanine, was reorganized to allow for clear and flexible circulation. The ground floor includes a general sales area, a central organic zone for movable displays, and a wall of custom-designed hanging racks along the right-hand side. These fixtures were prototyped at full scale to fine-tune their proportions, mounting system, and optimal display height.
A neutral material palette was selected: light gray porcelain tile for the flooring, matte black metalwork for racks, lighting, and the service counter, and full-height mirrors to visually expand the space.
Lighting was distributed along black tracks with adjustable fixtures, providing targeted highlights without overwhelming the environment.
A matte black metal volume anchors the checkout area and defines the connection to the mezzanine. Above it, a wooden threshold was designed to function both as a shelf and a spatial divider.
In front of this threshold lies the more neutral product selection; beyond it, the pajama line—creating a subtle but intentional separation of color and use. Toward the back are the fitting rooms and service access.
Every fixed element in the store was designed with longevity, easy maintenance, and flexible reconfiguration in mind—ensuring the space evolves alongside the brand.
